Weekly Update 16w/2020
Welcome to the SnowGem Project April 17th 2020 Community Update.
Key News and Developments of the week…
- SnowGem BitFrost
- SnowGem Website Translations
- Trezor Hardware Wallet
We are pleased to announce after months of negotiations and cooperation, we will soon sign official documentation with a key company related to SnowPay and SnowSwap services. We will announce further details when we legally can. This is big news for SnowGem!
The SnowGem BitFrost wallet is still on schedule and is due to be released imminently, we have a working version that we have built within the CoreTeam for debugging and further refinements. We want to remove as many bugs as we possibly can.
Please be aware that it usually takes a short while to be approved on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
BitFrost SnowSwap has been further refined with a greater number of swap pairs to prove the service. As many projects use the same codebase, we hope with in depth testing of major projects (Such as Snowgem based on Zcash) we can quickly implement them along with “Forks” using the same code.
SnowGem Website Translations
We are proud of our new website now that it is live, the next stage for us regarding the website is to make it multi-lingual in as many languages as possible.
We have a number of translators within our community, particularly discord and we would like to start this very large task over the next few weeks.
If you think you could help in any way with translations, please reach out to us via discord or telegram and we will be very grateful for your commitment to the project. It doesn’t matter if there is more than one translator per language, this helps us split work and perform quality assurance.
Trezor Hardware Wallet
The Trezor Hardware wallet implementation has been an ongoing project for a few months with careful and close contact with Trezor Developers.
We had already created our Trezor BlockBook several months ago which is the key to our backend services, while we awaited more information from Trezor developers on integration.
Our BlockBook has now been merged into the Trezor repository Here, this should be the last big step needed for Trezor to integrate us (fingers crossed).
Please check out our Twitter Page, Discord and Telegram for more information on any topics covered and more.
